The XFL will join the NFL to advance the game of Football in the near future! The XFL will collaborate with the NFL on various innovation programs to increase opportunities and expand on what they already have with player development on and off the field in mind.
With new, forward-thinking mental and physical health and wellness in mind, player health and protection will be at the head of this new initiative and a main focus area. Player surface areas and trends will be studied and data will be gathered for further research.

We have an open field for innovative rules to enhance in-game access. Sharing insights and practices between the XFL and NFL will do a tremendous amount of good for the game of football and support the player ecosystem overall.”
There is a possibility of more collaboration in the areas of international football development, scouting and officiating. This may include testing different game rules to enhance player protection and play. New technologies will also be tested and considered.
